Members present: Eric Smeltzer, Kendra Smeltzer, Randy Cochran, Linda Cochran, Marcia Geiser

Secretary’s report was read by Kendra Smeltzer. A motion to accept was made by Linda and seconded by Randy.

Treasurer’s report was read by Marcia Geiser. A motion to accept was made by Kendra and seconded by Randy.

Old Business: Golf outing details are taken care of. Eric needed to order the shirts, and a few door prizes would be taken care of later. Any helpers are asked to be at Hillcrest by 11:00 am.

New Business: Membership drive is coming up. More discussions will follow.

The next meeting of the North Central Athletic Boosters will be Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 6:30 pm at the Pioneer Pizza Barn.

The North Central Athletic Boosters would like to thank all of our hole sponsors and all of the businesses who kindly donated door prizes for another successful golf outing which was held at Hillcrest on Saturday, August 14th. We would like to thank all of those who came out and golfed. Your support makes it possible for us to continue this golf outing each year. We also appreciate all of the North Central Athletic Booster members who helped plan and also came out on the day of the outing to help.

State Track

Congrats to Taylor Ackerman placing 4th in the long jump at State.

Great job at state, Taylor Ackerman, for placing 4th in the long jump at the state track meet!
North Central School is proud to announce that Taylor Ackerman competed at STATE in track. Taylor placed second at the Tiffin Regional in the long jump. Taylor, who had a jump of 17′1.5″ to qualify, then went on compete on Friday, June 4 at the state meet. Taylor was one of 16 qualifiers who competed in the state meet where she placed fourth overall!

A Big Thank You! To all who supported us in the fish frys and the workers who helped. We appreciate everyone’s help.

Good luck to the baseball team at sectionals this Saturday and good luck to the softball team in sectionals next Tuesday.

North Central Athletic Boosters Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Members present: Eric Smeltzer, Kendra Smeltzer, Marcia Geiser, Brad Geiser, Joie Henry, Steve Bowling

Secretary’s report was read by Kendra Smeltzer. A motion was made to accept by Joie and seconded by Steve.

Treasurer’s report was read by Marcia Geiser. A motion was made to accept by Kendra and seconded by Steve.

Old Business: Basketball tournament was a success! A preliminary report was given on profits, with a few outstanding expenses still to come. There were also a few suggestions made for rule changes for next year.

Randy Cochran is working on an estimate for a new concession stand for outdoor sports. At this point we are waiting to hear more from him.

The annual Golf outing is set for August 14, 2010. More details will be discussed at future meetings.

New Business: Our next big event will be the Spring Fling cookout. A date was set for April 19, with backup dates as April 22 and April 29. Plans are well underway.

We have decided this year we will not participate with a booth or event in Clearfork festival.

The next meeting of the North Central Athletic Boosters will be Monday, April 19, 2010, following the Spring Fling.
